PERSONAL

Born in Belgrade in 1992., graduated from the First Belgrade Gymnasium, and studied at the Faculty of Law in Belgrade. Before joining BIRN (Balkan Research Network) in 2019. I was a member of the Youth Initiative for Human Rights for three years, where I mainly dealt with transitional justice and democratic issues. Prior to the Initiative, I was an activist, lecturing at various youth human rights schools and exchange programs related to reconciliation. I am the "Icebreaker" award winner presented by The Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) in 2018, and BeFem in 2020.

Justice without reconciliation? War crimes and trials in Europe since 1945

OFAJ program - The Franco-German Youth Office, exchange programme

The overall aim of the program was to explore and discuss the question of war crimes and war crime trials in four countries (France, Germany, Serbia, Kosovo) especially their role in post-warreconciliation processes. The Program was consisted of three phases, the first part has been held in Dachau (Germany) and The Hague (Netherlands). It will dealt with the topics of crimes committed by the German National Socialists during World War II and their impact on societies; the development of international and national criminal law; the establishment and the role of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia for the reconciliation in the South Eastern Europe. The second phase of project was held in France in March 2016 and the third phase in Serbia and Kosovo, November 2016.
